Celebrating a new building with space for more people!

THE CHALLENGE

While working at SMCC (South Mountain Community Church) we decided that we needed a major web overhaul. We had just moved into a new state of the art building in Draper, Utah and needed a website to match. SMCC has 5 campuses across Utah, and at the time each campus had their own separate site. It was a nightmare to maintain and perform updates. It was time to bring all campuses to one site allowing for a more cohesive tone and helping to ensure that the messaging stayed consistent throughout all campuses.

OUR APPROACH

We contracted Monk Development to develop the templates to create the new site. The planning process consisted of multiple meetings discussing the unique needs of the church as a multi-site church that was really just one church. We went through several homepage, campus and other 2nd tier layouts until we were satisfied that they represented all that was needed.

Once the templates has been wire-framed, while the developers went to work, I went to work creating all the fun graphics that would fill the new site. Everything from sermon series, ministry artwork, new icons and event artwork needed to be designed.

During the content population phase, I worked closely with the developers to fix bugs and ensure processes were what was expected. We received nothing but good feedback from everyone. Whew! It would now be a much simpler and effective process to update and maintain this beautiful new site.
