New Building. New Children's Ministry.



While working for South Mountain Community Church we had a capital campaign to raise money for a new building. Once the building was complete, the fun began on how to design and rebrand a new Children's Ministry area.



The decision to create an outdoor canyon feel was based on the shape of the area. It was in a long "U" shape and reminded us of a river. The concept was born! Every detail was designed with that in mind. From the river painted concrete floors to the mountain camping scenes on the walls. Even the wayfinding took on the shape of National Park signage. Rooms were named Canyons and hikers were a 3-D addition to the directional signage.



The new logo was depicted building blocks because this is an area where children will grow and learn. The tag line reflected the start of a new trail and beyond.
