Redesigning a tired lackluster site to attract an updated target market.

THE CHALLENGE

Utah Behavior Services provides Behavior and Mental Health Services throughout the state of Utah. Their old site was outdated and the content could not be edited without breaking the code. They were very frustrated because they had no way to show people their new whole family service model that was so desperately needed by families. I began my partnership by working closely with their management team to define a brand strategy that would allow for growth. Defining the brand, tone and messaging was first and foremost enabling me to provide the necessary tools to strategically refresh the website and other collateral.

MY APPROACH

Because the company wanted to easily update and manage their own site in the future, it was decided to build a custom Wordpress site. Having a special needs child of my own helped immensely in determining the look and feel of the site. Bright colors and family lifestyle photos were selected to attract their target audience. The messaging was compelling to grab attention, yet still felt very compassionate. After doing keyword research, optimizations for organic search were addressed. Print collateral was redesigned to match the tone and messaging of the new site. It was well received at trade shows and with current and new clients. After launch the bounce rate decreased, people were staying on the site longer. Leads increased from a small trickle per month to over 20+ new leads coming in monthly.
